Depending upon your tee box location and the prevailing wind direction, you’ll need to adjust your yardage to this exposed and elevated green. The putting surface which slopes from the back left to the front right corner is protected by two deep bunkers on the left, a kidney-shaped trap on the right and a steeply sloped apron short of the green. Being above the hole leaves a challenging two putt.

Favor the left center of the fairway off the tee and be short of the pond to give yourself a good angle for your subsequent approach shot. Add an extra club and play to the center of the elevated green which runs diagonally to the fairway. The green is protected by a deep bunker on the left and a steeply sloped apron short of the green. The putting surface slopes from the center to the back and front sections of the green.

This challenging uphill par 5 has trouble along both sides of the fairway all the way to the green. Accuracy will be duly rewarded. Targeting your tee ball for the first raised landing area will provide you with the best lie for your second shot. Most golfers hit their second shot to the next raised plateau 100 yards from the pin. The green, framed by two large oak trees, is protected by two bunkers, back and right, and by a hazard left and below the green. There is a small flat raised area in the back-right corner of the putting surface. Balls that land short of this area are gently redirected to the left. Using these slopes can offer you scoring opportunities on this #1 handicap hole.

Although the hole is level with the tee box, your tee shot on this par 3 must fly a deep gully before reaching the two-tiered putting surface. Accuracy on this first shot will avoid the out of bounds and green-side trap on the left and the vegetation off to the right. Getting your ball on the correct tier will optimize your chance for a good score on this deceptively difficult hole.

Off the tee box, aiming for the cell tower on the horizon should help direct your ball to the right center of the fairway where the downhill slope will allow it to gently roll left to a flat collection area at the corner of the dogleg of this short par 4.  The downhill approach plays shorter than the yardage.  Carrying the small front pot bunker will be the last task before carefree putting on this relatively flat green.  Two accurate shots on this hole should provide a good chance at birdie.

This hole requires both length and accuracy off the tee. Favor the right center of the fairway for the best angle and view of the elevated green. The putting surface is two-tiered so landing on the correct shelf will help make two-putting possible. One large bunker wraps around the left corner of the green while an apron off the right offers relief for shots hit short of the putting surface. Making par feels like birdie on this tough and long par 4 (5W).

The tee box is tightly contained in the wood line before it opens slightly to a downward sloping fairway.  Accurate shots from the tee will be rewarded with an unobstructed approach shot with a wedge or short iron.  The green complex is elevated with two deep bunkers in the front and a drop off to the left and back of the putting surface.  The left back portion of the green falls gently away making it difficult to hold this portion with your approach shot especially if not lofted.  The putting surface slopes from the back right to the left front corner.

Favor the left center of the fairway off the tee to avoid the hidden pond on the right. Any roll out on the fairway should help direct the ball to the right and provide an excellent angle to this diagonally placed green. The uphill approach must be struck solidly to carry the false front hidden by the elevation. Five small bunkers frame the front portion of the green with two more traps hidden behind on the right. The green contains a small ridge from back to front extending down the right third of the putting surface. The surface slopes significantly from back to front making it important to leave the ball below the hole.

Favor the right center of the fairway of this short par 4 as there is a subtle slope that will kick the ball left after it lands. Long hitters may not want to use driver off the tee because of a pond on the right hidden from view which is potentially reachable. The green slopes from back to front and left to right and is protected by bunkers on each side. An accurate approach should ensure a par on this, Redding Country Club’s, finishing hole.
